Police Probe Bold Heist at Yadier Molina’s Puerto Rico Estate
Authorities are investigating a brazen burglary at the estate of Cardinals legend Yadier Molina, where thieves staged what police describe as a “well-coordinated theft” that stripped the property of livestock, valuables, and vehicles.
The break-in, discovered early Friday morning by Molina’s property administrator, revealed a forced-open gate and missing goods worth an estimated $57,000. Among the stolen items: 14 pigs, a prized $16,000 horse, five televisions, an off-road vehicle, appliances, furniture, and more than 3,000 pounds of animal feed.
Puerto Rico Police have launched a full-scale investigation, gathering evidence from the site and canvassing the area for surveillance footage and witnesses. Investigators believe the scale of the heist suggests careful planning rather than a random burglary.
> “This was not an ordinary theft—it was a deliberate operation,” one police spokesperson said. “We are following several leads to identify those responsible.”
For Molina, who is currently balancing a return to baseball as a guest coach with the St. Louis Cardinals and family life in Puerto Rico, the news has stunned fans. Many expressed outrage on social media, with one writing: “How do you rob Yadi? He’s given so much to Puerto Rico and baseball.”
The investigation remains active, with police promising updates as they work to recover the stolen property.
