The Buffalo Bills have suffered a major setback as defensive tackle DeWayne Carter will miss the entire 2025 NFL season.
Carter revealed the news on Instagram Sunday night, thanking fans for their support and writing, “God doesn’t make mistakes, I’ll be back.”
According to a league source, Carter tore his Achilles tendon during practice last Wednesday. He will undergo surgery, sidelining him for the year. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz was the first to report the development.
The Bills will now begin the season without one of their young defensive standouts as they prepare for their home opener against the Baltimore Ravens next weekend at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m.
