Cardinals Promote High-Performing Pitcher Nick Raquet; Burleson Activated
ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that left-handed pitcher Nick Raquet has been selected to the Major League roster from Triple-A Memphis.
Raquet, 29, has been a standout in the Cardinals’ system this season, posting a 0.77 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 35 innings for Memphis. His consistent performance and ability to shut down hitters have earned him his first opportunity in St. Louis.
To make room for Raquet, right-handed pitcher Andre Granillo has been optioned to Memphis. Additionally, outfielder Alec Burleson has been activated from the injured list, while utility player Garrett Hampson has been designated for assignment.
These moves underscore the organization’s commitment to rewarding performance and preparing the roster for both the final stretch of 2025 and the future beyond.
