Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper Tied Atop Phillies’ Postseason HR Leaderboard
October 1, 2025 – The Philadelphia Phillies will enter the NLDS with two of their biggest stars, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper, sharing the franchise record for postseason home runs. Both sluggers have hit 12 playoff homers in a Phillies uniform, adding a compelling storyline as the team pushes for another deep October run.
Behind them on the club’s all-time postseason list are Jayson Werth (11), Chase Utley (10) and Ryan Howard (8). Surprisingly, Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt hit just four playoff home runs over 36 career postseason games.
Schwarber and Harper have each appeared in 34 postseason contests with Philadelphia, and both produced their most memorable home runs during the 2022 NLCS against the San Diego Padres. Schwarber launched a towering 488-foot drive off Yu Darvish in Game 1, while Harper delivered the dramatic opposite-field blast in Game 5 that sent the Phillies to the World Series—an iconic moment forever remembered as “Bedlam at the Bank.”
The chase doesn’t stop at the franchise level. Schwarber has 21 career postseason home runs across stints with the Phillies, Cubs, and Red Sox—making him the all-time leader among left-handed hitters and ranking fourth overall in MLB playoff history behind Manny Ramirez (29), Jose Altuve (27), and Bernie Williams (22).
Harper enters this postseason with 17 career playoff home runs, tied with Hall of Famers David Ortiz and Jim Thome. With one more, he’ll join a group that includes Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos Correa, Nelson Cruz, Reggie Jackson, and Mickey Mantle.
As the Phillies prepare for the NLDS, the power of Schwarber and Harper continues to define their October identity—both rewriting franchise history while climbing MLB’s all-time lists.
