DK Metcalf Admits Frustration Over Aaron Rodgers’ Off-Field Snub
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf and quarterback Aaron Rodgers are both starting fresh this season with the same team, having joined the Steelers in the offseason. Metcalf was traded from the Seattle Seahawks after six years, while Rodgers signed a one-year deal following a disappointing stint with the New York Jets.
During Steelers training camp, Metcalf opened up about his early impressions of Rodgers—not on the field, but off it. In a lighthearted moment, Metcalf admitted he felt a bit left out when he realized Rodgers had already played video games with some of their teammates, but not with him.
“Check with other guys—he picked up the sticks for them before me,” Metcalf said jokingly. “I’m not mad… just a little salty.”
Despite that, Metcalf had nothing but praise for Rodgers, describing him as a great teammate and someone he enjoys learning from beyond football.
Rodgers, looking to bounce back from a lackluster 2024 season, will have Metcalf as a key target. The wide receiver has consistently topped 900 receiving yards every season since entering the league, making him a vital part of Pittsburgh’s offensive plans for 2025.
