St. Louis Blues icon Bernie Federko has issued a passionate message to two of the franchise’s rising stars, Robert Thomas and Dylan Holloway, urging them to commit their full effort to the team and build their own legacy in the Gateway City.
Federko, a Hall of Famer and one of the most respected figures in Blues history, spoke candidly about the duo’s potential to shape the future of the organization. “Robert and Dylan have all the tools to be great players,” Federko said. “But greatness isn’t just about skill. It’s about consistency, effort, and the willingness to stay with a team and build something special. I want to see them put in that extra work, stay committed to St. Louis, and write their names alongside the legends.”
His comments come at a time when Thomas has emerged as one of the team’s key playmakers, while Holloway, a recent addition, is beginning to establish himself as a vital part of the Blues’ forward group. Fans have embraced both players as potential cornerstones of the next contending roster.
Federko’s message carries extra weight given his own 13-season career in St. Louis, where he amassed over 1,000 points and became the first player in franchise history inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. By challenging Thomas and Holloway to strive for more, he’s placing the responsibility of carrying the Blues’ tradition squarely on their shoulders.
“Legends aren’t born overnight,” Federko added. “They’re made through years of loyalty, effort, and heart. If Robert and Dylan commit to that, they can go down as two of the greatest to ever wear the Blue Note.”
With the Blues in the midst of building toward another playoff push, Federko’s call for commitment and leadership could prove to be a pivotal rallying point for both the locker room and the fanbase.
