Louisville Fans Get Excited as TreyShun Hurry Earns Starting Spot After Depth Chart Changes
Louisville football recently released its updated depth chart ahead of Week 2’s game against James Madison, and one change stood out—TreyShun Hurry, the dynamic wide receiver from the Transfer Portal, has been named a starter.
Hurry, who transferred from San Jose State, impressed during fall camp and quickly developed chemistry with quarterback Miller Moss. Last season, he recorded 28 catches for 482 yards and two touchdowns. Coaches Jeff Brohm and Deion Branch believe Hurry has the potential to elevate Louisville’s passing game and become a standout player in the ACC.
At 6-foot-2 and 194 pounds, Hurry combines elite speed with versatility, threatening defenses both deep and in short-yardage plays like wide receiver screens. His ability to impact the short game could be a key asset for the Cardinals this Friday.
Previously overshadowed by other receivers at San Jose State, Hurry is now poised for a breakout with two years of eligibility remaining. Brohm has praised his progress and expects him to build on his limited Week 1 production.
Dacari Collins, who provides size and depth, will back up Chris Bell at wide receiver, contributing to what has quickly become one of Louisville’s strongest position groups.
With Week 2 approaching, Louisville fans should keep an eye on Hurry as he looks to become a major weapon for the Cardinals’ offense.
