Blues’ Jordan Kyrou Drawing League-Wide Interest
St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou has been a frequent subject of trade rumors this offseason, attracting interest from teams across the NHL. The 27-year-old has solidified himself as a top-six offensive threat and secured an eight-year contract extension with the Blues after the 2023 season. Despite this long-term deal, speculation about his future remains.
Kyrou is coming off his third career 70-point campaign, tallying 36 goals and 34 assists in the 2024-25 regular season. He added three goals in the Blues’ seven-game playoff series against the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets.
Over his seven-year NHL career, the Toronto native has recorded 150 goals and 182 assists for 332 points in 416 regular-season games. He has also contributed 11 goals and two assists in 28 postseason appearances.
St. Louis reportedly explored a trade for Buffalo Sabres defenseman Bowen Byram earlier this summer before Byram signed an extension with Buffalo. While that deal never materialized, insiders suggest future trade talks shouldn’t be ruled out.
Any move involving Kyrou would require a significant return, as he is a homegrown talent and currently holds a full no-movement clause, giving him control over any potential destination.
For now, Kyrou remains focused on helping the Blues return to the playoffs as the 2025-26 season approaches.
