The Los Angeles Lakers may be looking to add another player, even though D’Angelo Russell and Kent Bazemore (during his second tenure) didn’t work out that well for the Golden State Warriors.
The Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso is a player who the Warriors are interested in dealing for, according to KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago this past weekend. According to Johnson, the Bulls turned down Golden State and the other teams who were interested in signing Caruso because they were internally preoccupied with securing a postseason berth at the time.
Even if D’Angelo Russell and Kent Bazemore (during his second tenure) didn’t work out very well for the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers might be ready to recruit another player.
This past weekend, KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported that the Warriors are interested in making a trade for Alex Caruso, the guard for the Chicago Bulls. Johnson claims that the Bulls rejected Caruso’s offer from Golden State and the other teams because they were internally focused on earning a postseason spot at the time.
Given that the Warriors have a poorer winning % (21-25) than the Bulls, it’s unlikely that they will make a trade that makes them contenders this season. But Golden State does have some good cap relief to potentially offer Chicago if they continue to pursue their postseason pipe dream.
