THE KING IS BACK : St. Louis Battlehawks great of all greatest Incarnate Word Wide Receiver is reportedly back
On Sunday, the St. Louis Battlehawks welcomed Darion Chafin, a former wide receiver for Incarnate Word, into their packed wide receiver room.
The wide receiver position group of the St. Louis Battlehawks might be the deepest in the UFL. Former Incarnate Word wide receiver Darion Chafin is the latest addition to St. Louis coach Anthony Becht’s roster as he signs him to a UFL contract.
Chafin began his collegiate career at Cisco College, where in 15 games he caught 39 passes for 814 yards and eight touchdowns.
For his final three seasons, he would transfer to Incarnate Word, where he would have higher stats with 156 receptions for 2,388 yards and 33 touchdowns in 33 games. His achievements enabled him to be selected for the 2022 third-team All-American and first-team All-Southland Conference teams.
Jahcour Pearson, Steven Mitchell, Blake Jackson, Marcel Ateman, Hakeem Butler, and Darrius Sheperd are the current receivers for St. Louis. Chafin’s chances of making the Battlehawks roster are little to none.
