Over the past few months, David Wagner’s team has made significant progress, and promotion now appears to be a serious possibility.
Not only are the players at Carrow Road prospering, but Adam Idah, a striker who went on loan to Celtic in January, is also having a great time north of the line.
Adam Idah’s Celtic career so far
With five goals in six league games for Brendan Rodgers’ team, the Ireland international has surpassed Kyogo Furuhashi to become the starting number nine for the former Leicester manager.
Idah’s ability to hold the ball up has been crucial to Celtic’s style of play, and his added physicality has helped the team as they try to catch Rangers in the league. Although it’s early in the season, the 23-year-old’s form has already sparked speculation about whether he will stay at Parkhead beyond his loan, which ends at the end of the season. It’s been reported that Celtic regrets not negotiating a buy option as part of the original deal, but since Idah is under contract with the Canaries until 2028, they won’t be forced to cash in.
Adam Idah’s summer transfer plans
Idah’s form is also expected to draw attention from other clubs, which might raise the cost.
It is unclear, though, what kind of price the Glasgow giants would have to pay if he is determined to stay with Celtic, given that they haven’t usually paid large quantities of money under the present administration—especially not recently.
Idah may still be able to play for Norwich if an agreement cannot be struck, and he will undoubtedly have improved as a player during his time at Celtic.
Speaking to FLW, Canaries supporter Zeke said that he doesn’t know what would happen with Idah but expressed concern that the Norfolk team wouldn’t make a lot of money if the striker left.
“With Adam Idah, I’m not too sure because, for a while now, Josh Sargent and Teemu Pukki prevented him from starting many games for us. That wouldn’t change even if he returned, which is unfortunate given that he is an academy graduate.
“I believe that he is succeeding so well at Celtic because he is now experiencing a successful run of games and has gained confidence.” It won’t be the end of the world if we let him go, but I will be glad if he does return. I just don’t think we’ll be able to get that much for him. He will most likely cost £5 million, which isn’t
